About Us

Lynne Hagan took over the farm stall in February 2012

from Alexandra van Blommestein who started and owned the stall for over 40 years.

After her husband passed away, Lex was persuaded by her son to move to the Cape and she subsequently sold the farm.

It was thought that the stall would close down as the new owners were into strawberry farming.

However the new owner was persuaded to keep the stall open and Lynne was fortunate enough to take over the stall.

Some of the staff had been with Lex for over 25 years so it was a pleasure for Lynne to work with them.

The History of it all.

Starting it all with a strawberry...

Tree Tops Farm Stall came to be when there was an overproduction of strawberries on the farm.

Alexandra began producing jam with the excess strawberries, bottling it and selling it for extra income.

After years of hard work, she finally got “Choice Grade” approval in 1976 and got a Food Manufacturers Permit.

Alex was a firm advocate of producing farm fresh products to the public, and Lynne has continued this strong belief.

The Fudge and Ginger Beer...

The melt in the mouth fudge and traditional homemade ginger beer are Tree Tops Farm Stall best kept secret.

Handed over from Mrs. Alex to Lynne, they are the only two people who know exactly what goes into the

delicious fudge and creation of the ginger beer.
